Recent studies show that around 30% of dairy shed energy is consumed by hot water requirements. Much attention has been given to controlling costs with on-farm practices, operation and maintenance but there is no remedy to the need for abundant hot water. For hot water generation the lowest cost, reliable energy source is coal.

McKenzie Design has proven coal burning boilers at the heart of their potable hot water generators. These units provide hot water from a few cents per unit.

The McKenzie system is a self contained unit and fully reloadable. The units require plumbing to existing cylinder(s) and a 230V supply to run the boiler and pumps. The plant is easily installed and operated.
